Dominic’s Nemesis

by D.Alyce Domain

When Tortured Souls Collide…

In an unforgiving society where the hint of madness is all the damning proof men need, Dominic struggles to live a peaceful life, away from prying eyes, and damning innuendo. Gifted with uncanny abilities, yet also cursed with the taint of madness, Dominic must walk a fine line. After the horror of his past, his fractured soul is safe only in solitude…until one day, his refuge is irrevocably breached by an ethereal beauty haunted by demons of her own. Dominic is torn between protecting himself and his brothers from exposure and persecution and following the desires of his heart…

I really liked the characters of Dominic’s Rival. I loved the tug of war going on between Eden and Dominic. I thought their characters were really well developed. Dominic, in particular, I really loved his “afflictions”. The world that was built in here was fantastic. I thought is was unique and I really have not seen anything like it. However, when I realized what the entity was, I was disappointed. I didn’t really like it at all. It really bugged me because I was loving the book up until about 60-70%. I wanted the entity to be something more than what it was: lame and predictable. When the author is throwing around some foreshadowing and hints to who the villain is, I don’t want it to be the most obvious thing that it could be or the one that first pops in to my head. Having said all that, I would definitely try to pick up something else that D. Alyce Domain writes.
