Only two more weeks of Mardi Gras left! This weeks king cake from Caluda’s was banana foster. We could not let this one go with out a try. There are several other bakeries I wanted to try, but I don’t think were going to get to it. I already feel like I’m on sugar overload We might get one more on Mardi Gras Week.
The filling is a sort of custard, which is amazing. I despise when people use goo that you put in mass produced pies. That’s why I usually prefer plain king cake for the most part. But this is delicious!
I didn’t know about King Cake, I need tp try it. In France we make a form of donuts for Mardi Gras.

Its just brioche with cinnamon and sugar and then icing on top….but its so yummy. mmm..french donuts. I would like to try that. I bet everything there is good.
